Four Conveying Methods

Different part shapes and operating conditions call for different conveying methods. We build all four, so our recommendation is based on fit — not on what we happen to sell.

Roller Conveyors

The workhorse for pallets, totes and cartons — anything with a flat bottom surface. Supports zero-pressure accumulation.

Double-Speed Chain Conveyors

The standard approach for pallet circulation in assembly shops — stations hold parts without stopping the line.

  • Speed ratio Typically 2.5:1 or 3:1 — pallets travel faster than the chain
  • Station control Stop-and-locate, lift-and-rotate, automatic pallet return
  • Cycle balancing Stations allocated by work content; supports mixed manual/automatic lines
  • Typical use Multi-station assembly, burn-in testing, inspection flow

Slat Chain Conveyors

The durable choice for heavy loads and harsh conditions — parts sit directly on the slats.

  • Load capacity Suited to heavier parts and concentrated loads
  • Environment Resists oil, chips and elevated temperatures
  • Slat types Flat-top, side-flexing and flexible chain — inclines and curves possible
  • Typical use Machining lines, castings handling, engine assembly

Belt Conveyors

The most versatile and lowest-cost continuous conveying method, ideal for loose and small parts.

  • Belt materials PVC, PU, anti-static, oil-resistant, food-grade options
  • Configurations Flat, incline, curved, cleated and sorting belts
  • Add-on stations Reject, weighing, barcode reading and vision inspection can be integrated
  • Suited to Loose parts, small parts, irregular shapes, bagged material
